« I already talked to your dad about this. »
« I know. »
« You shouldn’t have left your bike where a car could hit it. »
« It was beside our yard. »
« It was too close to the road. »
« So you’re sure? »
Gary sighed.
« Yes, Jake. I’m sure. I’m sorry about your bike, but I’m not buying you another one. You need to be more careful with your things. »
